Here's what Richard Browning,
founder of The Thirties Singles Group of Atlanta, said
about a recent performance in his e-mail:
"Hello Everyone! The Thirties
Group is moving into August on a roll!... We are now
solidly over 300 people... Rebecca's performance at Eddie's
this past Tuesday was out of this world! Check out my
review below.
NOTES:
We went to see Rebecca Windham play at Eddie's Attic on 8/7.
Wow! Rebecca is ready for Chicago! She sang one song in
French, and it
sounded like her first language! She had a five piece
band with her, her trumpet player was amazing. Rebecca's
singing is smooth and sultry, she is the perfect
nightclub singer.
Another part of the show we all
enjoyed were the "A Cappella" singers [Outside
the Vox]. She had four singers join her on stage for
about eight songs. They were so synched, it seemed like
they had been together for years!
I highly recommend you email Rebecca and get on her email
list announcing
her gigs around town. I caught her at Copeland's one
night, but
she also plays Borders Bookstores every now and then. I
think she's way
too good for Borders. She just released her first CD, I
played it 3 times in
a row!
Rebecca is a professional vocals instructor. Rebecca is a
member of our group, and she may play one of our events
in the future.
Rebecca - all of us who saw your show wish you the
absolute best, we loved your show!
